Clifton Park Soccer Club
Volunteer Commitment Agreement
The Clifton Park Soccer Club is a volunteer organization
that depends heavily on its members to function, and without their help
the club cannot continue to offer this exceptional soccer program. Every
player's parent is a club member with volunteer responsibilities and
their participation is required to increase the benefits to all of the
club members.
There are two
occasions that parents will be required to volunteer:
1. Throughout the year: Each parent is required to volunteer
2 hours of their time for each child in the club to help with the various
activities necessary to keep the program functioning at it's best. For
example: In the spring, fields need to be lined, nets put on the goals,
raking, and general clean up needs to be done. In the fall, fields need
to be lined, and nets and goals need to be put away for the winter.
This commitment DOES NOT count towards your CPSC tournament commitment.
2. CPSC Tournament: In July of each year the CPSC hosts the Rose
& Kiernan Clifton Park International Soccer Classic, which is one
of the highest quality tournaments in the Northeast. The Soccer Classic
attracts over 150 teams and in the past teams from Europe, Canada, Australia
and most Northeastern states have participated. A tournament of this
size and quality requires extraordinary planning, coordination, and
a strong structure of volunteer support. Volunteers are needed starting
in late winter for work on the yearbook and advertising committees,
through the end of the tournament for take down and clean up. Every
CPSC team is invited to play in the tournament and each parent, both
mother and father, is required to volunteer 2 hours for each child in
the club, whether their child plays in the tournament or not. For example:
If you have 2 children playing in the club then Mom must complete 2
hours of work for each child and Dad 2 hours for each child. Total hours
- 4 for Mom and 4 for Dad. There are several tasks that need to be completed
prior to the tournament and if you plan ahead, your volunteer hours
may not have to be completed during the tournament. In addition, if
foreign teams participate in the Soccer Classic you may be asked to
host some of the visiting players.
As the parents

and agree to fulfill our volunteer obligation to the Clifton Park Soccer
Club.
