Minutes of December 15, 2006

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at 7:30 PM.

PRESIDENT: Peter has the CDYSL placement forms for the spring league. Coaches need to fill them out and get them back to Peter for his signature before the next meeting. Teams will not be entered into spring play automatically; you need to submit a placement request form or your team will not play. See Peter after the meeting.

PREMIER LEAGUE: ENY recently posted applications for their Premier League, applications are due January 5th.

INDOOR:Nothing to report.

CDYSL:Sue announced that next year CDYSL is going to an on-line registration process. This will be mandatory and includes registering our rec. teams.

REGISTRAR:Coaches will need to submit a copy of their coaching license with their team’s registration packet this season. CDYSL will not register teams if they do not have a copy of the coach’s license or an approved waiver form submitted with the paperwork. Risk Management forms are due every two years. Forms need to be filled out on-line with CDYSL now. Bruce has a list if you need help determining if your form is due again.

TOURNAMENT: The dates for this years Tournament will remain the weekend following the 4th of July as it has been in the past. The dates will be Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8th. This year for the first time we are looking at adding a U-23 mens division. We are hoping to have applications and a brochure available by our next meeting. Noel O'Brien put together a contact list and some tournament information for the Hudson Valley area. The Tournament Committee is making an effort to renew our relationship and encourage Club teams to consider tournaments in this area and also to promote our tournament with teams from the Hudson Valley area. Peter added that the CPSC has a long history of good soccer relationships and experience with Hudson Valley soccer.

VOLUNTEER: Every team needs to submit the name of your team’s volunteer Coordinator to Renee Barlow ASAP. She can be reached at rbarlow2@nycap.rr.com or 371-5493.

COACHING COMMITTEE: If you have not picked up your facility use form for your teams assigned gym times, see Mark after the meeting. Reminder, CDYSL is offering a licensing course for $25. This fee can be reimbursed by the Club; Coaches should request reimbursement through the Coaching Committee. Mark announced the following conflicts with the Gowana practice times: Sunday, 1/7, 2/4 & 2/25 unavailable from 10 AM to 2 PM. All Gowana practices on Saturday and Sunday 1/13 & 1/14, 2/10 & 2/11 and Saturday 2/24 have been cancelled. Additional time is available on Saturday, 1/6 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Saturday 2/3 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Sunday 2/4 7 to 9:30 PM and Sunday 2/25 7 to 9:30 PM.
