Clifton Park Soccer Club, Inc.
Minutes of March 15th, 2005

The next meeting is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12th.

PRESIDENT: Team photos will take place this Saturday, March 19th in the Lobby of Orenda. Not all teams have signed up; please see Peter after the meeting to reserve a time slot. The requirement for each team to provide an Ad Coordinator was stressed at the last meeting and only a few names were provided to Janet Cody. Peter reminded Coaches we need volunteers to make the Club work. It’s the Coaches responsibility to find someone on their team to fill these roles; we do not expect the coaches to do these tasks themselves. Get your Manager or a parent involved. The Town has approved the use of the Commons for State Cup and Premier League games if the fields are suitable. We need to get the fields ready, if your team gets a call, be ready to have enough parents available for work crews. We have a lot to get done and if we do not get enough bodies to get the Commons ready, teams will not have fields to play on. There has been some discussion and confusion about the Sportsplex having insurance coverage. Peter announced we have added the Sportsplex of Halfmoon to our Certificate of Insurance. If you have a team participating or plan to at the Sportsplex, make sure you pick up a copy of the Certificate to carry with you when participating at Halfmoon. As we announced last month, we will be providing a bin downstairs to collect old cleats, balls, uniforms and other related soccer equipment to contribute to Orange Farm, a needy community in South Africa. Please help us get the word out. Leslie Small submitted a letter requesting support to help with an invitation she has received to play for the USA at an Athletic International Tournament in Australia. As we have in the past, we will donate $100 to support her.

PREMIER LEAGUE: Schedules have all been submitted to Mich, thank you. Please note that after April 30th, Saturday games will not be able to start until 3 PM as fields will be in use by the Rec program until 2:30 PM. Field 1 is the only exception, that field is in use until about 12:30 PM, games could start at 1 PM. All games need to be checked with Mich before you go ahead and schedule them with visiting teams.

CDYSL: There was no meeting, nothing to report.

REGISTRAR: Nothing to report.

TOURNAMENT: As Peter said, every team needs an Ad Coordinator, please provide Janet Cody with the name, e-mail and phone number of your team’s Coordinator. Janet passed a list around the room for coaches to fill out. Information can be e-mailed to Janet at acm2ej@aol.com. Or you can call her at 877-8357. The first committee meeting will be held in April.
