Minutes of October 17th, 2006
The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday,
November 21st
Annual General Meeting
President Peter Clinton called the meeting
to order. He announced that no items had been brought to the board for
changes. He introduced and turned the meeting over to Joe Thorne, Chair
of the Nominating Committee for the election of Club positions. Joe
announced we had two candidates interested in the Vice President position,
Bruce Rosenthal and Tom Costigan. Joe then presented the following slate
of officers: President, Peter Clinton; Treasurer, Karl Gerstenberger;
Secretary, Jim Allen; Registrar, Sue Keefner; CDYSL Representative,
John Seltenreich. Joe announced we have four at-large board positions
and this year we have four candidates for these positions. The Nominating
Committee recommends the following individuals: Garrett Mabee, Shawn
Fuss, Dave Conger and Jeff Breznak. Additional nominations were solicited
from the floor, none were received. Chairman Thorne instructed the Secretary
to cast one ballot for the slate. The Secretary Cast one ballot for
the slate of candidates and then members of the Club cast their ballots
for the VP position. Votes were counted by Chairman Thorne and he announced
Bruce Rosenthal won the VP election. Thus making the above our Officers
of the Clifton Park Soccer Club for the upcoming 2006 â€
2007 year. The AGM was then closed.
Regular Meeting
PRESIDENT: Fall Rec. will end this weekend, October 21st. Program
and weather were good this season. U-8's are still meeting every Saturday
at 3 PM at the Commons. A few players are still needed to fill out the
final roster.
PREMIER LEAGUE: NE Region 1 applications are due December 1st
and are available at, www.region1.com. ENYPL, nothing has been announced
yet. Suggest coaches keep checking their web-site for the application,
www.enysoccer.com .
INDOOR:Nothing to report.
CDYSL:CDYSL ODP tryouts will be held Sunday, October 22nd at
Maalwyck Park.
REGISTRAR:17 teams still need to submit their registration information.
TOURNAMENT: A change in the date may be a possibility. Committee
and Coaches need to be pro-active to increase the number and quality
of teams that apply. The Committee will be looking at making it more
of a College showcase tournamentith Hudson Valley soccer.
VOLUNTEER: Renee Barlow still needs the
names and contact information (phone number, address and e-mail) for
several of our teams Volunteer Coordinators. Please get this information
to Renee ASAP; she can be reached at www.rbarlow2@nycap.rr.com.
COACHING COMMITTEE: Assistant coaches please complete and return
a coaching application to Mark Jenkins. U-19 boys are still in need
of a few players, contact Mark if you know of anyone interested in playing.
INDOOR: Nothing to report.
ADULT LEAGUE: We have co-ed teams, must be over 30. Teams will
begin play the first Monday of November at the Sportplex from 8:30 to
9:30 PM. If youâ€re interested contact Bill Sofko at

OLD BUSINESS: Do NOT use the lighted field, #4, unless you have
reserved it for use under the lights. If you reserve it and need to
cancel, please contact Mich as other teams may be looking to use it.

TOP SOCCER: Season is over for the fall. Please help get the
word out to promote the program and get more children involved. Program
runs concurrent with the spring and fall rec. program on Saturdays starting
at 12:30 PM.
