The next meeitng will be held October 17th at 7:30

PRESIDENT: Our Rec. program is moving along, we have over 1,250 children participating. Sign ups for U-8 travel teams will continue to be held on Saturdays, at 3 PM under the pavilion. Players will get a small workout each Saturday while sign ups are held. We have a no cut policy for U-8, every player that shows up can join a team. We are hoping to have at least 4 teams again this season.

PRESIDENT: Karl received the bill from CDYSL for fines and fees. Many of the fines were due to coaches not sending in the “green” game card. Coaches, it is your responsibility to make sure these cards are sent into CDYSL, this includes U-8 and U-10 teams as well. Peter emphasized it’s a waste of the Club’s money, so no excuses next season.

PREMIER LEAGUE: Mich needs updated contact information for each of the Premier teams. Region 1 applications are available on-line and ENY Premier should be available soon. Applications for these leagues are due by December 1st.

INDOOR:Nothing to report.

CDYSL:CDYSL announced fees will be going up. The League ODP Mini Camps are now open to all Division 1, 2 & 3 players for the U-11 to U-17 boys and girls. The CDYSL Empire Cup has 93 teams signed up; see their web site for details. An E and F license course will be offered in August.

REGISTRAR:Coaches will need to submit a copy of their coaching license with their team’s registration packet this season. CDYSL will not register teams if they do not have a copy of the coach’s license or an approved waiver form submitted with the paperwork. Risk Management forms are due every two years. Forms need to be filled out on-line with CDYSL now. Bruce has a list if you need help determining if your form is due again.

TOURNAMENT: Rick announced we currently have 118 teams and are looking for two additional teams to round out brackets.

VOLUNTEER: Every team needs to submit the name of your team’s volunteer Coordinator to Renee Barlow ASAP. She can be reached at rbarlow2@nycap.rr.com or 371-5493.

COACHING COMMITTEE: Coaches, please have your assistant coach’s fill out a coaching application form. Applications are available on the Club’s web site, cliftonparksoccer.com, and can be downloaded and sent to Mark Jenkins at mjenkins@mail.nysed.gov At this point we only have about 7 players signed up for our boys U-18 team, we are looking for more players and also a coach for this team. Please get the word out and have interested player’s contact Mark, his phone number is 373-6517.

INDOOR: Nothing to report.

ADULT LEAGUE: Still playing, things going well.

OLD BUSINESS: Nothing to report.

TOP SOCCER: We currently have about 12 children participating and are using the $3,000 worth of Adidas equipment that was awarded to our program.

NOMINATING:Joe Thorne reminded everyone that next month is the Annual General Meeting and election of officers for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, CDYSL Representative, Registrar and four At-Large Members. If you have any questions about the positions, the AGM or are interested in running, Joe can be reached at 877-8127.

NEW BUSINESS:Question was raised if the Club would be covering the cost of Referees for the CDYSL Fall league? We have two U-12 teams participating. At this point we have already set the registration fee for our travel teams and did not factor in this cost. Teams will have to cover the cost this Fall and the Club will take into account for next year. Question on obtaining a coaching license was raised. Peter will check with John Seltenreich on the status of having another class here at the Club House. The U-16 boys Premier Manager asked about goalkeeper training. Frank explained this would be part of the Premier program and would follow up with Mike and Adam about this. Karl reminded members about our annual scholarship awards that go to two male and two female seniors. Applicants must attend Shenendehowa and play for the Clifton Park Soccer Club.
