Clifton Park Soccer Club, Inc.
Minutes of September 20th, 2005

The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18th

PRESIDENT: We will not have the sign in sheets tonight as all the teams have not been formed yet. The Rec. program is off and running reasonably well. If your team has any fall games, they need to be scheduled after 2:30 PM on Saturdays due to the Rec. program.

PREMIER LEAGUE: NE Region 1 applications are due December 1st and are available on ENY’s web site, www.enysoccer.com .

CDYSL: CDYSL announced there would be additional tryouts for the ODP North teams; information is available on their web site, www.cdysl.org . John was asked if a decision was made on allowing 22 man rosters? There is nothing in writing yet, originally this was going to be adopted for older teams, this may be extended to cover U-12 teams and above.

REGISTRAR: Nothing to report.

TOURNAMENT: Nothing to report.

VOLUNTEER: Please get your Volunteer Coordinator information to Liz soon.

COACHING COMMITTEE: Coaching Committee is meeting this week to select coaches for the remainder of our travel teams. Coaches will be contacted. A question was raised on bringing players from outside of Clifton Park to play on our Travel teams. Once tryouts have been held, if teams are short players to complete their rosters, then players that live outside of Clifton Park or the Shen School district can be added to your team. What is the minimum number of players that can be on your roster to form a team? In our Club, for U-12 and above it is 16 players.

INDOOR: Nothing to report.

NOMINATING: Next month is the Annual General Meeting and election of officers for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, CDYSL Representative, Registrar and four at Large Members. Joe Thorne is looking for candidates interested in getting involved with the Club. Joe will continue to touch base with current officers to see if they are still interested in running and contact anyone expressing an interest in running to answer any questions. If you are interested in running or if you know of a potential candidate, contact Joe Thorne at 877-8127.

OLD BUSINESS: Nothing to report.

TOP SOCCER: The program is underway. We have about 12 players that are currently participating and more are expected. The program is free to participants and the feedback so far is positive. It requires a lot of one-on-one assistance, getting players from our High School teams involved will be pursued. We are competing a bit with a similar program run on Saturdays, but believe we can work things out. Peter expressed how remarkable he felt the program was and encouraged people to stop by on Saturday, 12:30, to get involved or witness the program.

NEW BUSINESS: Mich announced that after the selection of coaches next week, she would be stepping down as the Chair of the Coaching Committee. John Seltenreich inquired about the Coaching Class for our coaches. Peter indicated at our June meeting we agreed to hold one here at the Club House. Once we have about 20 people a class can be scheduled, please forward any names to Peter.
