Clifton Park Soccer Club, Inc.
Minutes of August 17th, 2004

The next meeting is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21st.

PRESIDENT: The Rec program for the fall is just about full, we have approximately 1,300 children signed up. Referees who have already taken the Club’s course and are interested in working this fall should call Mary Konecnik at 383-0180. We are in the process of purchasing two new folding tables for Shen, as two tables we borrowed for the tournament were missed during clean up and left outside, resulting in water damage to the tables. If anyone is aware of or notices items that are still outside during Tournament clean up, please bring this to the Club’s attention so that we may avoid this in the future.

PREMIER LEAGUE: Nothing to report.

CDYSL: There was no meeting, nothing to report.

REGISTRAR: Bruce has registration information and forms if anyone needs them. Reminder that coaches, assistant coaches and managers whose name will be on your roster will be required to fill out the League’s Risk Management form and pay a $10 processing fee at the time they register their teams. Teams will not be able to register without the form and fee. The fee will cover a two-year period. Make checks payable to CDYSL.

TOURNAMENT: WTournament wrap up meeting is this Sunday.

VOLUNTEER: Nothing to report.

COACHING COMMITTEE: Tryout Coordinators have been named for the following age groups: U-14 girls, Tom DeFilippis, U-14 boys, Bob Neville, U-16 girls, Lisa Stanley and U-16 boys, Joe Duffy. Tryouts will be held Sunday, September 12th and 19th from 3 to 5:30 PM. Coaches for the U-10 and U-12 age groups have been named. The process for State Cup is now done on-line. Once your roster is approved for State Cup play, it’s up to coaches to print them out and bring them to the games. Peter announced that this year’s U-8 program would have changes. There will be sign-ups rather than a traditional tryout. This will be held on Saturday, September 11th at 3 PM. We are looking at having a developmental program rather than travel as this year it will be a 4v4 format. Teams would still be registered with CDYSL, could participate in tournaments and would have games on Mondays and Fridays at the Commons. Teams would meet and train for the first half of their time and play games the second half.

ADULT LEAGUE: Applications for the fall league are being accepted, 46 people have signed up so far. Registration forms and information are available online at cpsrsl.vilaj.com.

NOMINATIONS Joe Thorne is looking for candidates interested in getting involved with the Club. Joe will touch base with current officers to see if they are still interested in running and contact anyone expressing an interest in running to answer any questions. If you are interested in running or if you know of a potential candidate, contact Joe Thorne at 877-8127.

OLD BUSINESS: A proposal to expand the use of lighted soccer fields at the Commons in the fall is being drafted. The Club would like to see a uniform lighting policy for all of the sports programs at the Commons. The proposal will be presented to the Town.

NEW BUSINESS: Nothing to report.
