TOURNAMENT: Rick announced we currently have 118 teams and are looking for two additional teams to round out brackets.

VOLUNTEER: Peter reminded everyone that each parent has a 2-hour volunteer commitment for each child that plays for Clifton Park; they signed the agreement at the beginning of the season. Coaches please stress to your parents how critical volunteers are to the success of our Tournament. Without volunteers, we would not be able to host the Tournament.

COACHING COMMITTEE: Coaching applications are available from Mark and will be available on our web site soon, www.cliftonparksoccer.com. Mark has received several coaching evaluations; encourage your parents to get them in if they have not done so. Tryout dates are listed on our web site; they have been moved to July. Question was raised, what if your child will be away for all of the tryouts? Mark indicated they should get the players name to him and arrangements will be made to talk with the coach and maybe have evaluators look at the player during the CP Tournament.

INDOOR: Nothing to report.

ADULT LEAGUE: Nothing to report.

OLD BUSINESS: Nothing to report.

TOP SOCCER: Our program was selected as one of the 2006 US Youth Soccer Grant recipients. We were the only program in NY to receive a grant. The program will receive $3,000 worth of Adidas equipment and products to use for our Top Soccer program.

NEW BUSINESS:Frank announced he would not be running for VP this fall. He feels it’s time to allow some of our younger members to get more involved in the Club, like he did some time ago. He expressed it had been a great experience for him and wanted to give people time to consider the opportunity before our October meeting. If you are interested, contact our Nomination Committee Chair, Joe Thorne, at 877-8127. Frank received a well deserved round of applause after 20 years of serving on the Board.
