Minutes of April 11th, 2006

The next meeting will be at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16th.

PRESIDENT: Team photos are in. Please pick up your teams packet at the end of the meeting. If your team did not get a photo taken through the photographer and you would like to have a team picture in the Tournament booklet, you need to get a photo to Janet Cody at Acm2ej@aol.com. Rec. soccer starts on Saturday, April 29th. Division 4 was expanded to 12 teams. We have 20 new and 30 returning refs for the Rec. program.

PREMIER LEAGUE: The PL schedule and field assignment are posted on the bulletin board at the Commons. Mich will add the CDYSL games as soon as she gets the schedule.

INDOOR:Nothing to report.

CDYSL: Meeting tonight, nothing to report.

REGISTRAR:Nothing to report.

TOURNAMENT: All Club teams MUST fill out an application to participate in the Clifton Park Tournament. All Club teams are eligible to play, but are not automatically entered. Applications are available on our web site and are due by April 15th, so please have them by the next meeting. We are looking for new committee members to get involved, always welcome to join us. Meetings are held monthly at the Club House.

VOLUNTEER: Lining fields on April 15th, come join the fun.

COACHING COMMITTEE: A “D” license class is being offered, you must have an “F” or youth module first.

INDOOR: Indoor gym times are being assigned. Players must remain under control by the coaches and there is to be no roaming the halls. Coaches should be the first one there and the last to leave. Cancellations need to be made by Tues. evening by contacting Frank Berger at 371-0654 or by email at www.vrb7key@aol.com. Gym closure information can be attained at 881-0612 or by going to www.shenet.org.

ADULT LEAGUE: Have played indoors since the fall. Outdoor play starts on May 1st, 6 PM at the Commons. There are about 40 core players currently.

OLD BUSINESS: Nothing to report.

TOP SOCCER: Nothing to report.

NEW BUSINESS:Helmut Gerstenberger outlined the Town’s proposal for new fields on land purchased off of 146. Peter spoke about the shortage of fields at the Commons and Shen, with no room for growth and felt this would be positive. If members have any comments, concerns or questions about the new fields please forward them to Jim Allen at www.cpallen@verizon.net. Pat Joseph, Soccer Unlimited, passed out this year’s coaches’ shirt.
